Garden Planning: Creating the Inviting Garden
As we look forward to spring, gardeners are turning to their seed catalogs and starting to plan for the season ahead. One of the pitfalls of our off-season planning is that is easier to garden in our “minds” than in reality Oftentimes we plant too much, or pick the wrong varieties, or plant things too close together to create a garden that is hard to work in and take care of.
This is half day course provides the participants a chance to create an inviting garden, a space that they want to spend time in and take care of.
- Learn how to better space your garden to improve yields and prevent disease
- Learn how to use the idea of a “moveable” spring to plant over a longer period to extend and prolong your harvest
- Learn how to use succession planting to keep your garden productive all season
- Learn how to improve your soil to create abundant yields
